Project aim: promote ethnic integration, and promoting various nationalities mutual understanding and cooperation.

Audience: society, which operates Jēkabpils ethnic integration, representatives of the participants, of various nationalities, Riga city residents who are attending, Riga and Vidusdaugava inhabitants of the region who will receive the information in the mass media, radio and newspapers

Main activities: meeting of representatives of minority associations, publishing information materials, information media, the press and radio, ethnic integration in action

Project “Participation” The European Forum for Restorative Justice”, Spain

Location: Bilbao, Spain
Purpose and main activities: visit the European Forum for Restorative Justice 6th conference “Working with Regenerating justice in Europe. Practice and innovation”. Retrospection of the past and visions for the future.

Project “Open Integration”

Time: June 15th, 2009 – March 31st, 2010

Funding: total funding LVL 30 157.84, 75% of the European Fund for the Integration of third-country nationals and 25% of the state budget

Project aim: Create integration centers for preschool children and their mothers (third-country nationals), providing education, psychological support and babysitting services

Audience:
1) Preschool children of third-country nationals
2) Preschool children mothers of third-country nationals

Main activities: Establishment of the children’s integration center and ensuring a function of it, training course development for preschool age children and their mothers. Event organization, children babysitting, psychological support group organization and management for children’s mothers and publicity activities as well.
Results: Implementation of the project actualized the importance of integration between the Latvian native people and third-country nationals. The project led to establishment and started functions of integration center for preschool children (third-country nationals), in this way, making it possible for children at an early age to gain the skills to communicate each other, creating a respectful attitude

 

Project “Year of Intercultural Dialogue in region Jekabpils”

Time: August – December, 2008

Location: region Jēkabpils, Latvia

Audience: residents of Jēkabpils region

Main activities: an enlightening seminar, gathering information, creation of questionnaire and mediatize. In the end was organized an event and published informative material about the issue of Jekabpils living other nationalities
